Easy Gest Waste Water Treatment Plants
Patent 1.384.916 del 30/12/2010; priority 02/04/2007

“EasyGestWWTP” ® is a monitoring and telecontrol system for waste water treatment plants or similar facilities. It is an application which runs on Windows®.

“EasyGestWWTP” ® has been designed with the most advanced hardware and software development technologies in order to allow the efficient and safe management of water treatment processes. These technologies enable our system to monitor, control, store and retrieve information concerning the whole water treatment plant.

The application is based on the principle that the whole water treatment plant is divided in different “sub-zones” or areas, which are classified according to their functions.

For each of these zones, the system displays: information and alarm notifications concerning the actual condition of the different plant components and their relevant measurements; the control functions or program settings; and the operating statistics.

For each plant part or measurement, it is also possible to create a log on a digital file in order to obtain historical performance charts and tabs.

All these features contribute to create a reliable and user-friendly system which allows a better plant management and has clear advantages for the optimization of each area.

Advantages

Compliance with the Limits Set by Law for Sensitive Areas
This is possible thanks to the better performance of the nitrogen removal process compared to the traditional ones. This is particularly interesting for plants located in sensitive areas, which must comply with both nitrogen concentration limits and removal percentage requirements (70-80%).
Energy Saving
Our system allows an energy saving of 20-40% as an immediate consequence of: 1) An high performance in the biological nitrogen removal process, as high denitrification performances result in high combined oxygen recovery; 2) The elimination of the need to recirculate the aerated mixture, as a result of the Alternate Cycle process.
Reduction of Electromechanical Components
The process functional optimization allows a considerable reduction of the electromechanical components needed for the plant.
Reduction of Sludge Production
Sludge production may be reduced at least by 15% as a consequence of biomass stress which, to a certain extent, determines the reduction of the COP (Coefficient of Performance), i.e. of new biomass production following the transformation of organic substances.
Reduction of Chemicals Dosing
It is possible to reduce and even eliminate the amount of chemicals needed for the phosphorus chemical precipitation, in order to comply with the limit of TP ≤ 2 mg/l. This reduction is made possible by the production of dPAO, i.e. of denitrifying Phosphorus Accumulating Organisms.
